Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) stimulates the body’s natural healing abilities through exposure to extreme cold. WBC was developed by 1978 by Dr. Yamouchi in Japan as a treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis. In 1984, the German Rheumatologist, Professor Reinhard Fricke, brought Whole Body Cryotherapy to Europe, where it became increasingly popular. Over the past three decades it gained even more popularity as its performance enhancing and general health and wellness benefits have become more well known.
Today many professional athletes among all sports use WBC to improve recovery time and celebrities use it for overall wellbeing including its ability to help with many things like weight-loss and collagen elastin.
Everyone’s needs are different, and at XtremeCryo you can find the best treatment plan for you by consulting our technicians. We will walk you through the entire process from start to finish, and discuss all of in depth including the consent that must be signed prior to using the whole-body cryo machine. By the way, everything needed for treatment is provided.
Each session maximum time is 3 minutes with a maximum cold of -290 degrees. However depending on what we discover together re your needs/wants/lifestyle/hesitations/etc, we often opt for a lower amount of time and a higher temperature. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual, this is about your health!
